# Live Scoring

> Enter scores in real-time during your stream with instant overlay updates.

Live Scoring lets you enter match results in real-time while streaming. As you input scores, the overlay updates instantly — your viewers see standings change live.

## Starting a Session

From any group or pairing page, go to Live Scoring. You'll see a configuration screen before starting:

1. **Review summary** — teams count, match count, and player tracking stats (how many teams have IGNs)
2. **Choose kill mode** — if UID/IGN is enabled, select Team Kills or Player Kills before starting
3. **Configure broadcast** — set up your overlay display (tournament name, stage name, handles, templates). See [Stream Overlays](/organizer/live-streaming/stream-overlays) for details.
4. **Review slot list** — optionally review the full team/player list before going live
5. **Click Start Live Scoring**

Once started, overlay URLs are generated. Copy them and add to OBS as browser sources.

## Entering Scores Live

During a live session, you work through matches one at a time:

1. Select the current match from the match tabs
2. Enter placement and kills for each team as results come in
3. The overlay updates instantly — viewers see standings change in real-time
4. Move to the next match when ready

The workflow is the same as regular score entry, but designed for speed during a live broadcast.

## Slot List Review

Before starting, you can switch to Slot List Review mode to see all assigned teams with their details — squad names, captains, IGNs, and UIDs. This is useful for verifying participants before going on air.

## Tips for Live Scoring

* **Set up overlays in OBS before starting** — add browser sources and test them before your broadcast
* **Use team kills mode for speed** — per-player kills take longer to enter during a live match
* **Configure broadcast details in advance** — tournament name, handles, and templates can be set before starting
* **Keep the live scoring tab open** — scores update the overlay in real-time from this page
