# Squads

> Create and manage your permanent team roster.

A squad is your persistent team on SquadsSpace. Unlike custom teams created during tournament registration, your squad carries across all tournaments and scrims.

## Creating a Squad

From the Squads page, create a new squad by giving it a name. You become the captain automatically.

## Joining a Squad

If someone else has already created a squad, they can share their invite code with you. Enter the code on the Squads page to join their roster.

## Squad Details

Your squad page shows:

* Squad name and invite code
* All members with their roles (captain or member)
* Tournaments the squad has participated in

## Using Your Squad in Tournaments

When registering for a Duo or Squad tournament, you can choose "Global Squad" to register with your existing squad roster. This is the quickest way to enter — no need to re-pick members each time.

Alternatively, you can always choose "Custom Members" during registration to build a different lineup for a specific event.
